On September 17th, our club hosted a heartwarming event at Great Neck House together with AYLUS, where we engaged in activities with special needs children. The event started with an amazing song sung by a member which set an active tone for today's activities. Following this, our talented member, Amelia, played the cello, and kindly offered the kids to feel her cello and try playing it. Next, three of the members showcased their impressive K-pop dance moves and patiently taught the audience some simple dance steps after their performance. After their dance, other members brought us a harmonious flute performance. Last but not least, our club's president, James, performed an interesting color-mixing experiment and also invited the kids to join him. We could see that the kids joining us today are all fascinated by the instruments and activities new to them, and we are glad to bring this fun to them. These awesome interactions surely brought a lot of enthusiastic vibes to our event.
Following the performances and interactive sessions, we organized a variety of fun activities for the special needs children. These included engaging in creative drawing, coloring Mandala coloring pages, face painting, and unleashing their imaginations with Lego building blocks. It was heartening to witness the children's joy as they engaged themselves in these activities, making it a truly memorable day for all. Throughout today's event, we were pleased to see that these children were having a wonderful time and lots of fun. We are also very grateful for the support of the kids and their parents, as well as our volunteers. It is through our united efforts that today's event could be held so successfully.
