What an amazing experience it was to volunteer at NSASA's Valentine's Party! On February 20th, 13 Heartik members came together to spread love and joy to families with autistic children in the Long Island community.
Despite the chilly weather, 200 people attended the event and our hearts were warmed by the smiles of the children and their families.
We arrived early to set up the venue, ensuring everything was ready for a day filled with fun and laughter. With the help of our amazing volunteers, all the supplies needed were transported for the event.
Throughout the day, we played games, did crafts, and shared delicious food and candy with the children. By the end of the event, the children were so happy they didn't want to leave, and neither did we!
We are grateful to have been a part of such a meaningful and enjoyable holiday and look forward to more opportunities to spread love and make a difference in our community.
Heartik Club, as a student nonprofit organization, is dedicated to making a tangible impact in the lives of children with special needs and their families. With a steadfast commitment and down-to-earth approach, we have been able to gain the support and recognition from professionals and parents. It is truly heartwarming to see the impact of our efforts and the appreciation from those whom we aim to support. Thank you to all who have supported us in our journey to help those in need.
