Today,we went to firefighter park to gather donations for Heartik, a non-profit organization for autistic children. We had several kinds of original artworks for charity sale like paintings, photographs, bracelets, rings, jewelry, Legos, face paintings and more.
With the sun appearing, more and more people came to the market. Many kids stopped by to play around with the Lego and cars, and others came for face painting. At the same time, more people strolled through the market to admire the original artwork at our booth. Olivia and Victoria gathered up the rings and bracelets and started to approach parents with kids to see if they were interested. At first, they faced many rejections, but later they made their first sale to a mother with two girls. Each of them picked out a ring and made a donation. As time went on, they made more and more sales, so they decided to create a poster and hold it up while introducing our club to parents. Our members also handed out the "Wish you well" cards made by people in our club.
After a while, our cards were almost gone, and it was time to leave. It was a pretty fun day, and we're thankful for all the support from the community. We not only enjoyed the experience of the sale but also raised more money for autistic children.
